From Loch Ness to Blackpool: A Journey for Change

Andy Watt, Molly’s dad, and Chris Bush—friend, colleague, and passionate supporter—have teamed up once again as The Lycra Lads, taking on a series of demanding cycling challenges in 2026 to raise funds and awareness for The Molly Watt Trust.

Their first challenge begins on 26 April 2026 at the iconic Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. This is no ordinary ride. Covering 66 miles of a challenging 80-mile loop, Andy and Chris will face steep climbs, relentless gradients, and the famously unpredictable Scottish weather—where rain, wind, and sudden temperature changes are all part of the test.

But this is just the beginning.

The Loch Ness challenge is a vital stepping stone towards their next major event: the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride on 12 July 2026. This 60-mile journey includes an elevation climb of around 1,800 feet, demanding both endurance and determination as they continue their mission to make a difference.

Andy’s dedication as Molly’s father drives this effort forward, while Chris brings unwavering support through fundraising initiatives, including tech workshops and community events. Together, they are not only pushing their physical limits but also raising crucial awareness of Usher Syndrome—the most common cause of congenital deafblindness.

Every mile they ride helps shine a light on the challenges faced by those living with Usher Syndrome and supports the ongoing work of The Molly Watt Trust.

Your support truly makes a difference.
